Environmental charity campaigning against pollution, toxic waste, global warming and other harm to the environment, and promoting things like renewable energy and greener living.

Pond Conservation
Provides information about pond conservation, including advice about good practice and details of pond research.

Soil Association
A charity devoted to promoting organic food and farming and raising awareness about the dangers of pesticides.

STARO: Save the Amazon Rainforest Organisation

The Rainforest Foundation

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust
A conservation charity aiming to preserve wetlands and their biodiversity. The Trust has visitor centres around the UK. Includes information on threatened species, research, adopting a bird, and how to become a member.

The Wildlife Trusts
An organisation that aims to promote wildlife and the natural environment, through a series of local trusts which operate throughout the UK.

The Woodland Trust

Waste Watch
An environmental charity promoting action on waste reduction, reuse and recycling. There is information on membership, campaigns, consultancy, education services, policy and research.

WWF-UK
The World Wide Fund for Nature conserves endangered species, protects threatened habitats and addresses global threats. There are details of campaigns, and of the charity's work in the UK and abroad.
